I heart Washi tape

My washi tape I ordered came in today. I scoured pinterest for some new packaging ideas and I love the look of washi tape on a shipping tag. I am not going to replace my current packaging design but add to it, mix it up a bit.
Here's what I was thinking...

My sewing room makeover

I have been shoved in an unfinished basement sewing up my clips in a sad space for the last year,no worries I kept them/supplies upstairs in a clean dust free environment,it was such a pain to haul binky supplies up and down when I wanted to sew! Now we have finished the basement and I have a proper "headquarters" so to speak.

My boys are awesome!

I have had a few emails lately asking if my Kanzashi hair clips can be placed onto a headband. I was hesitant to do it but thought, why not try.
I now have listings of just a soft elastic headband in black or white (more colours to come if this takes off) for $1.50 and no extra shipping if with another purchase. These listings are for the HEADBAND ONLY and not the flower clips, its an add-on to a flower clip order.

They are just clipped on so when your baby grows hair you can simply take it off the band and use it as you normally would. Its a win-win and allows you to use the hair clips for a longer period of time!

My model for the pictures was my 15 month old son. Now each one of my 3 boys have taken one for the team and modeled some sort of girl item!

Fabrics Replenished!

I set up my Etsy shop back in March of 2010, not really knowing what I was doing. I decided on doing a blogshop instead (which ended up as this blog) and bought the domain name. Well over the past 2 years I've had maybe 15-20 sales from it, then I got the brilliant idea of "hey why don't I try my Etsy shop"...this bright idea came out of nowhere, I sure wish I had come 2 years before it did! Since actually posting any listings in my Etsy shop in May 2012 I have had 96 sales. 96!!! From the end of May until now...it has been awesome! Now to the point of this post, because I have had so many sales I got to go on a fabric spree to replenish my stock (yay) here is the last batch of fabrics that just came in, check out the 2 sided cuteness that is the "Balloons in Aqua" from Michael Miller. All I have to do now is wait for my snap order to come in to be able to make these available in the shop. I'm hoping it won't be longer than a week and a half!

Hey chevron? You had me at hello.....

 We all love chevron right now..I mean LUUUUV so I decided to get some for clips and I fell in love with the grey chunky chevron from Riley Blake. Now my one worry is that the print is quite a large scale, a lot larger than the ideal scale for a pacifier clip so it will be a challenge to get the full chevron effect. I have a question for y'all. Would you prefer a vertical chevron or a horizontal chevron? Personally I like horizontal but I'm putting it to a vote. Leave a comment as to which way you would like it.
